Surroundings of the Miramar are just gorgeous.
La Croisette seaside provides beaches, restaurants and a wonderful view on the bay. La Croisette shopping side provides top international luxury brands shops, fish and Mediterranean restaurants, cafes and terraces...
Life on La Croisette never stops. Summer or winter, it is the same magic easy and cool life. Walking along and taking time to rest on the famous blue seats facing the Mediterranean is almost mystic. Nightlife never stops either: Carlton, Martinez, Majestic hotels, 3 casino, restaurants and bars often organize evening parties on the beach... It can be electric or very romantic. The other famous shopping street ''rue d'Antibes'' is at a 2 minute walk from the Miramar. Port Canto where the beautiful yachts are moored is a 5 minute walk.
The city of Cannes is providing numerous buses to allow you to visit the town: they are roofless along La Croisette and the seafront during summertime. The free ''Elo'' bus will pick you up anywhere in the city; you just need to shake your hand! You will discover old and typical Mediterranean quarters such as ''Le Suquet'', local Provencal fairs and antique markets on the ''Place des Platanes'', the ''Vieux Port'' and a wonderful vegetable and flower market "le marche Forville".
If you want to visit some other great places along the coast, there is also a very good train service. You will also be able to visit some towns such as Grasse (worldwide capital for fragrances), Mougins, Vallauris (worldwide famous potteries with Jean Marais) with regular buses. For art lovers, you will be pleased to discover the Picasso Museum in Antibes, the Chagall Museum in Nice, the Matisse Museum in Vence, the Maeght Foundation in Saint Paul de Vence and the Fernand Léger Museum in Biot. During summertime, you will also find a variety of boat excursions with a departure from Cannes to Antibes, Saint Tropez, Sainte Maxime, Port Grimaud, San Remo (Italia).
